First TransPennine Express – Huddersfield Station

The Input Group were appointed to carry out improvements to Huddersfield Station facilities as part of the National Stations Improvement Project. This required the design, manufacture and installation a fully enclosed waiting room, along with a lounge for their First Class customers.

What was asked

As part of the NSIP works, the Input Group were requested to complete extensive station updates. Responsibility was taken for the generation of utility services and communication of hardware schematics.

In addition to the Platform embellishments, the project also required the installation of new Public Address and Customer Information systems.

How We Did It

Careful planning for the works ensured that there were minimal interruptions to regular station operations.

The new TransPennine First Class Lounge boasts a deluxe, spacious waiting room, offering a selection of drinks, newspapers, equipped with private toilets and Wi-fi facilities.
