Input Group Hinchley Wood Station

Working with history
to improve a classic

South West Trains – Hinchley Wood

In partnership with Network Rail, The Input Group were tasked with building a new, modern Station building at Hinchley Wood. This included a new ticket office, waiting room, a more spacious platform area and additional seating areas.

What was asked

Originally built in 1930, the project required the careful integration of state-of-the-art facilities with the classic design of Hinchley Wood Station.

This involved creating a modular building - sectional prefabricated building - to form a ticket office and waiting room utilizing SIPS panels (Structural Insulated Panels).

How We Did It

Due to RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds) all work onsite was undertaken to ensure minimal disruption to birds and wildlife.

The waiting room construction included the addition of a high security internal structure to meet ticket office regulations.
